Tagaytay Pasalubong

Do you remember someone who came from Tagaytay and offers you 'pasalubong'? What did you receive? Probably, its a keychain, shirt, or food.

How about you, what will you buy if you go to Tagaytay? Let's discover our options.

Food
One of the famous pasalubong center in Tagaytay is Rowena's. You can view their website here http://www.rowenas-tarts-tagaytay.com/. They offer tarts in various flavors: buko, mango, apple, ube, pineapple.  They also serve blueberry and strawberry cheesecakes, cashew nuts, buko pie, cassava cake and other sweets.

A similar store is Amira's Buco Tart House http://amirasbucotart.com/.
Nilupak, Martha's Bread, OTOP products, Special Tarts are some of the products that they sell.
By the way, OTOP is not OTAP. OTOP means One town One product. Its a program by government to promote entrepreneurship and create jobs in every town. This means that you may found specialty items of other regions in Amira's Buco Tart Haus

Colette's Buko pie also have a branch in Tagaytay. You'll find it in Rotonda , Tagaytay City

Don't worry if you don't have time to visit these places. There's a high chance that you'll meet someone offering pasalubong in your tour.  Usually, these sellers will offer espasol, buko pie, and panutsa( peanuts coated with brown sugar). Yes, they are the products that are being offered in provincial buses in Southen Luzon.

If you are not sure if the product taste good, ask if they can offer you a small sample before you buy.
Actually, you might need to ask because most of them are really offering free samples.

Picnic Grove: A Nice Place for Family Bonding

Picnic Grove

Some places are not suitable for children and some are not friendly to elderly. But Picnic Grove is a place that will be loved by everybody. It is a good place for family bonding.

It's a nice place to have  picnic and bond with kids. Months ago when I visited this place I found lots of families enjoying  snacks on small cottages and enjoying the view of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.

There are also kids playing and running to fly kites.  Who would blame the kids? Picnic grove is a perfect place to run around.  (Just be sure not to bump other tourists)

Near Picnic grove is Tagaytay Zipline.  If you are brave enough, you can glide through this zipline and enjoy the fantastic view in front of you and below you. At first, I thought that I'll be walking back at the starting point of the zipline.  But the zipline is a two-way ride. If you are too much afraid on your first try and didn't have to relax and enjoy, there's still a second chance. For me, the way back is more comfortable.

Sky Ranch : An Amusing place in Tagaytay

It seems that Taal Volcano found its rival.  The giant ferris wheel with its dancing colors at night  is as eye catching as the volcano. Who would not take a glimpse of the ride's mesmerizing lights?

I'm thankful for Sky Ranch because I think it is time to welcome a new attraction on Tagaytay area.  I'm tired of reading bad reviews about old but famous tourist spots in Tagaytay. I really hoped that Sky ranch will be maintained better.

Sky Ranch is a mini Enchanted Kingdom located in a cooler place with more majestic scenery.
